With the snow season upon us, we just wanted to send out a friendly reminder that snow may not be stored in the road right-of-way (ditches or easement along the road). Storing excess snow in the right-of-way violates state statute §31-32-3.1. During the spring, the excess snow melts and drains into the road which can create a serious safety hazard for our community. Violation of this law is a Class 1 misdemeanor charge.
